About us
Darnit, Darling is a love letter—to sewing, to storytelling, to the art of making something new from something old.
I began repurposing a stack of old quilts—gifts from my grandmothers—using the sewing skills my mom taught me years ago, turning them into jackets, and giving these heirlooms a second life and a chance to be seen, worn, and loved again. That’s how Darnit, Darling was born. The name itself is a wink to the spirit of sewing: a mix of care, frustration, and affection. It’s what you mutter when your thread knots for the fifth time—or when you finally finish a piece and can’t help but smile. “Darnit, Darling you look good”
To me, sewing is more than just craft—it's a nearly lost art form that was once part of everyday life. In an age of fast fashion and disposable clothing, it feels radical to slow down, to mend, to make. My hope is that Darnit, Darling sparks a little of that magic for you too. Maybe it’ll even inspire you to pick up a needle, dust off a sewing machine, or look at the past with fresh eyes.
Here at Darnit, Darling, we create upcycled clothing from vintage textiles and quilts—each piece made in limited batches, each one-of-a-kind. But more than that, it’s a space for creativity in all its forms. We don’t take ourselves too seriously. While we care deeply about quality, what matters most is the joy these pieces bring—to you and to us.
At this time, Darnit, Darling is not accepting custom orders. For the latest updates, follow @darnit.darling on Instagram.
